Well, even with a hangover, I decided to get a little done today. Here's what I got done.....

1. Drilled 2 big holes in the back side and loose fitted the 2 bulkheads. After all the hard work to get the tank water proofed, I felt terrible while I was drilling 2 big holes in there :screwy:
2. Built the spray bar (still need to glue it all together).
3. I also built a panel on the back of the tank with all the valves and other plumbing parts.

Here's some photos.

Nice! Thanks for the updates, you know how much I wanted them! That spray bar looks perfect! And the ball valves will help with feeding, and cleaning the pumps, etc. Get some work done today and update us tonight!

I got some work done today, but not as much as I wanted. I sanded the entire inside with #60 sandpaper and cleaned it all with a brush and then thinner.

Then I got a full coat of gel coat on all surfaces and a second coat on the bottom, but it wasn't cured enough, so I'll give it another few coats over the next few days.

I'll be ordering the glass tomorrow and it'll take about a week to be ready, so by the time the paint is fully cured the glass will be ready to go in :D

Thanks.
There will be no progress updates tomorrow because I am going fishing :D but I will have plenty more updates during the week as I will be starting to build the lid and light canopy whilst waiting for the paint and silicone to cure.

you should have really water proofed the holes you drilled for the bulkheads. If one of the bulkheads comes loose over time water will get inside the timber.
Apart from that great build. And I thought I over build things :)

BTW, will your apartment floor hold the weight when the tank is filled?

The bulkhead holes will be sealed with several coats of paint. I will also be sealing the bulkheads with silicone after I fit them.

These Korean apartments are solid concrete and the tank will be located right near the supporting walls. I don't think there will be any problems. I already have a 140 gal in another room and it's also fine.

BTW, I love over building things ;)
