Was looking through some local LFS pages that i’ve bookmarked when i came across this stunning Anubias plant... Anubias sp. White Rose

I’ve never heard or seen it before but now i really want it, except it comes with a price tag close to USD $100 per plant...

So in the spirit of sharing, thought i’d share the pics here to see if anyones ever heard of or kept this plant in their tanks before???

P.S no these are not my plants, just pics from the stores FB page...

P.P.S @Hendre something new to tempt you with other than rare buces lol...

Its interesting.....i think. Not sure if I like it. I like the one that started poping up last year that is speckeled white, that my be to much white. I'll have to look at it more. At $100 I'm thinking no. I got a gold coin anubias when it was still kind of expensive, it looks just like my other nanas now I dont remember which one it was. Lol

I agree the price tag is way too high atm... maybe it’ll become more widely available later and hopefully price comes down too...

For the moment though, im actually more curious how it does over time and whether ferts will effect its coloration... but from the comments on the page the store said they’ve been growing it for 3 weeks and new growth is solid white...

I was wondering that also. Or if it was a lighting thing. I have a pothos plant in my sump and other parts of the system. I cant remeber exactly which one it is but its got the white center to the leaf. The ones that are right under the grow light 90% of the leaf is white with new growth mostly white also. The light is so intense. If I move them from under that light they slowly get more green and new growth is green. Wonder if that has anything to do with it? Although most of the time if the light is to bright over anubias you cant tell what color it is, as the algae growth is to thick....lol

The price tag is abit much. That would be a nice addition of color/pop in a planted tank. Kind of the crown jewel in a planed tank. It’s anubias too so it’ll grow with inexperienced keepers. I hope someone gets it and see how it turns out. Thanks for sharing @Fat Homer.

The potential algae problem is whats really throwing me off as well...

I was seriously tempted to get some for my tank coz that white would really go well against the greens / reds and blues...

Then i saw the price tag and took a step back coz i dont think im ready to risk that much on a plant that could turn green on me lol....

Here's one for $30

This guy has a light colored anubias and says "Young seedlings and their leaves are completely white. "

Im going to have to see if i can one day get to the store before they sell out (although might be hard with upcoming schedule)...

But based off the photos of the original post and the ones you provided, the ones in the original seem really snow white vs the ones in the 2nd link...

Then again, it could be lighting giving it a slightly green tinge to the look of the plant...

And @kno4te if you get some would love to see what it looks like in a tank...

I may get one. Let me see.

I did find a person on YT with the Snow White anubias and in a 2 month span has stayed white.
