Hey I'm curious if any species are native to the Philippines, I can't seem to find a map online of the distribution of the genus Channa. I know that some species are native to malaysia and indonesia so I assume that maybe some are also native to the Philippines?

I believe Channa Striata is found in the philippines, It's an introduced range not "native".

Channa Maculata is the only native that I can think of, but it may have been introduced as well.
As DC said, Striata has been introduced. A few other introduced species are Micro, Melasoma, and Lucius. There are possibly more introduced species as well.

No, Channa maculata is not native to the Philippines -- it is an introduced species. Appararently, there is no native SH in Philippines; whatever you find there are introduced species.

I'm from Philippines. Channa Striata are found here. i'm not sure if they are introduced or native. IMO they are native.
