I'm potentially getting a second 400 gallon aquarium and was planning on building another wooden stand for it but unlike my first, which had a massive steel frame around every edge that supported it, its just bare 16mm glass at the bottom with no trim/brace. I'm not sure if the foam mats I've previously used for much smaller tanks are appropriate for a tank of this size and just wanted to see what everyone else is using?
Appropriate material to sit under a 400 gallon bare glass aquarium?

I use rubber sheet under my glass aquariums.
In fact I use two layers, a solid rubber sheet underneath, and then an expanded rubber sheet right next to the glass.
Seems to support the weight well, spread the load, and does not decompose over time.
