aquaclear for 10 gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The only problem with buying the smaller filters is that if you happen to upgrade the tank size then you'll need to buy another filter. As long as your sure you'll only ever have the 10g then the smaller is fine. I f there is a chance of someday upgrading to a 20 or 29g then maybe the larger would be better.

I agree with not having too strong of a filter on your QT tank . . . I generally over-filter my main tanks, but for QT tanks I tone everything down and keep it simple; the fish are already under stress, don't need to be pushed around

I have a 50 on my 10 just for the heck of it. It keeps the water crystal clear. I love it its my favorte filter. Pluss (like someone said earlyer) if you upgrade it will work for a bigger tank.

add a second sponge to the ac50 to tone down the flow a bit and put it on the lower setting on the filter. should be good for the tank. then if you decide to get a bigger Q tank, then set the filter to the higher setting.
