Aquarium Shaking during Earthquake in Singapore

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Damn! That thing was really shaking. He's lucky one of those falling rocks didn't bust the glass.

that would be one of the most terrible things to watch....wondering when it's going to break.

I met a guy here in WA that had a 600G on cement blocks only. and I'm talking just cement blocks stacked up as legs only. No full bottom tank support. He said when the big quake 6.8 quake in 2001 hit, he said the 600G swayed like crazy!

That must suck to be a part of. I only know hurricanes, but a lot of MFKers are from the land of earthquakes... how often does this happen out in Cali?

How long do Earthquakes last?

In my 21 yrs of life, I can only remember a handful of earthquakes, and they seem to be getting rare around here (which isn't a good thing).

Usually, they only last a few seconds, with 10 secs being kinda long. Then you get after shocks for a little bit throughout the day decreasing in strength.

We haven't had a big one in a long time which means the pressure between the tectonic plates that makes up the san andreas fault, will eventually release a huuuge earthquake, and it will really suck being in california :(
