Way to represent!! I love the Leid Jungle!!! Haven't been there in about three years though. :( Do they still have that asian arowana in that little pool on the jungle floor that has the walk way dividing it? I was so tempted!! ha

Definately an awesome place! If you guys ever get a chance to check it out, you have to. Its a one of a kind experience. If you don't like humidity or noise though, don't go to the Leid Jungle.

Where 'boutz in Nebraska do ya live? I've got sisters in Lincoln! :) I used to live in Shelton. :)

I'm from Hastings. They still have arowanas in the little pool you mention, but I don't know if it's the one you refer to. It was actually a lot less humid in the jungle and cooler as well, than it was outside yesterday.

The waterfalls and birds do add a lot of background noise, but I don't recall the howler monkeys going nuts like they do sometimes.

The new Butterfly exhibit is really cool.

I think this wraps it up for the 'pimas.

I included a couple of sketchy photos of a RTC in the display. I'd say he would scare 40 lbs.

I used to have a yearly pass to Henry Dorly Zoo and have been there many times. It's a really top notch zoo. Do they still have the tank with all the barramundi's in the bat cave?

That's an awesome exhibit! I can't wait for the Academy of Sciences to re-open here in SF.
