Are spanner barbs monsters

I guess 6-8" is normal though I have seen 10" (tl) giants.

Just thought I would share this. Was doing some random googling after picking up another decent sized spanner barb for the 300g today. Obviously a trade in and at 6 inch fully grown .. or is he, bear in mind I now 7 of these assuming max size is 18cm as wrote everywhere on the net...
Let's hope it's a freak.

Yeah this one is crazy big.

I don't know I guess mine won't grow that big. They are about 4" and I got them at 1" in october 2022.
