Sweet! Gorgeous fish, Nutty.

I am not sure if I got the Rio Sarstun or not. When I bought them, I believe there was a choice of gold back or not gold back... and i think I went with the not gold back... Did I choose wrong?
They're only about 2" now, so still not showing much color yet.

I've never heard goldback to describe synspilus, only Vieja regani, which is the Rio Nanchital population, are you sure you have "synspilus"?

Eh. Too early in the morning. lol. Yes, I have regani also, and I'm sure I have syns as well. Obviously I was thinking of the regani. lol.

As for the syns then, I would have to look at the price list I had, but I'm not sure that there was a location involved in the ordering of them.

i heard theres a new vieja hybrid called red monk in indonesia from a friend

OP. I dont care what whoever call it, but those are synspilus/red heads.

Even if they came from those fish they are still Syns/red heads. Just a contaminated mutt version of Synspilus, or Synspillus dominant Hybrid.

So there. you know it's not Bifa or any other confusions.
