do arapaima do good with arowana? are arapaima agressive? i needa know lol, my goal is too put my gold arow and silver arow and jardini and african arow(if i find 1) with an arapaima:headbang2,my LFS has 5 arapaima

in my experience, arapaima is not aggressive (not sure what would happen if it was by itself). It is likely to spook your aros because it is quite hyper while swiming. It eats quite violently.

Paima color is quite gourgeous when it grows-up. If you do get them try to choose one that has some color on it already (tail, fin, scales etc). If don't have then don't worry it will color up as it grows.

Personnaly, I would not risk it though due to the gold aro though. Then there is a tank consideration, they are not so easy to move from glass tanks ... it WILL resist quite violently. Imagine smashing an aquarium with a gold aro in it (yikes!)

Lg arowana (Silvers) will pick on similar sized or smaller Arapaima. Not great tankmates.

Lol while none of the fishes pick on each other. Arapaima outgrew silver aros in very short order. One already graduated out of indoor tank into outdoor (two are on the way out). May be the silver was a wussy individual.

I've kept a pima with a black aro. The aro was twice the pima's size. Then the pima caught up an surpassed the aro in size and the aro had a hard time getting food due to the aggressivness when feeding.
