i just want to share about arowana eating behavior

just noticed if you feed your arowana really quick (1 cricket and then another 1 in 4 second time) your arowana might have digesting problem

mine has that problem this evening when i fed him really quick, then he start to swam slowly, and stop and 1 place, then make his body move vertically...i am afraid if something going to happen to him, and then after an hour, he seems to be fine..actually he just want to digesting the food ( maybe eating to fast)

and also i noticed, after had a meal, my arowana getting really aggressive -_-!

they say for below 6" arowana, we should feed it at least 3 times per day...i just wanna ask, right now i am doing 3 times per day, each time have time gap...let say, 7am in the morning first meal time, the second is around 4-5pm and the third about 12-1am, each time about 4-5 crickets (small size as my aro still a little guy here)

so is it ok? i am afraid the huge time gap between 7am to 5pm

well, first of all i think you should try to vary the diet a bit more. Crickets are ok for supplemental feedings every now and again, but the staple diet should be a quality pellet, market shrimp/prawn, fish fillets. Varied diet is best especially if they arent eating pellets. 3 times a day seems a bit much to me. Twice would surely be sufficient and once would not be bad. what type of aro is this?
