thanks najib.. the red devil are about 8".. the cichlids messed up the plants and there was a lot of sand all over the bottom.. was a pain to clean.. i've removed it for the time being.. on the lookout for a tall pot so i can plant some lily and echinodorus ovalis / cordifolius again..

Just read the whole thread. Awesome build. So much room for the fish, makes my tank look tiny.
Was always thinking of doing something like this eventually, though not sure how happy my partner would be, she was happy enough to renovate most of the house around my tank, but an outdoor project this size so soon would push it.... Ha ha.
Again an amazing build, good to see the aros growing well, must be a joy to watch the behavior of the different fish.
Oh yeah can I ask how is the filter system going? Have you had to change it much from the initial twin canisters? (sorry if you explained it earlier.....there is a lot to take in in this entire thread....ha ha)

i was trying to locate this plant in the internet i couldnt find what i was looking for.... i will go to one of the LFS which has it... will post pictures of them laters... cheers..

i doesn't look like this cause they grow very tall and eventually rise above the water level... in fact im heading that way will take a picture of them... the plants are not in best of conditions but u will get a picture of what i am talking about.... they would actually look nice and filled in the corner of your pond with the leave rising above the water level.... that is if your fish in there dont go nuts over it LOL
Thanks mate.. it def is a pleasure to see their behaviour patterns.. and the way they interact among themselves and with the others.. I just had a look at your 650G video.. got to go through your thread.. Stunning setup.. and the Pearsei looks brilliant.. You never know.. prob your partner will agree to a 6000G by the end of the year.. fingers crossed
The filters are doing fine.. I still use the twin canister setup.. but i feel i could add a couple more canisters with UV and increase the amount of ceramic rings and bio balls in the sump.. thanks again.. cheers..Cool.. please take a pic.. the picture i've posted is a submerged planting of the same.. this plant actually grows out as you have mentioned..

nice.. this looks like a variant of the same.. the leaves are of a little different shape.. i need a couple of tall pots. somethin like 3' height.. thats when these plants can come out well.. and none of the local potters are ready to make one.. gotta try a couple of other places around the city..
