Asian cichlids..

notho2000, Thanks for the video, those are neat looking fish! I never heard of asian cichlids before, I wonder why they are not as commonly kept as their African and CA/SA cousins!
 
In here (Sri Lanka),
Mozambique tilapia
Nile tilapia
Wami tilapia
Redbreast tilapia
Redbelly tilapia
but all of them are introduced species.

I don't know the exact names of tilapia species but there are few types of various colours that i've seen here, even a pure white species. I've a wild caught red finned black tilapia now which I had from a friend. They do fine with other beasts and have a good personality. :) Anyway I think our rivers have more cichlids than korali. There are no many people to look for fish types and categorize them. I say I've seen many cichlid shape fishes caught by fishermen.

if yes they frm Osphronemidae (gouramis),
if not i would realy liked to see a pic of it...
And that pure white tilapia is wild caught?
