I have a ten gallon planted tank that I've been in the process of putting together for over a month now. Still haven't added any stock. Anyways about a week about I started to find pond snails in the setup and found loads of eggs on the glass and plants so inorder to save my setup before chaos took over I picked up two assassin snails.

Now I've just added them sound they haven't touch a single snail from what I can see, however, once they wipe out the pond snail population like they hopefully will what do I feed them? Will they be tannk cleans and clean algea and food waste or do I have to go out and purchase more snails for them to eat( sounds kinda counter productive). And info would be great because there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info online other than that they eat other snails. Thanks

They won't clean algae or anything. Most will feed of of a somewhat protein rich pellet food if necessary. From what I've been told and what I have seen, if you overfeed the tank, they may not bother hunting snails because food is too readily available.

Hmm I see, do you them I should remove them if I wanted to make a RCS and MTS colony in the setup once all the pond snails are gone or if I add enough of them and provide enough food they won't be as tempted to exterminate everyone else entirely

There's no guarantee that they will not eat the MTS. I would remove them if you want to have an established MTS colony.

most foods have high protein and they will take that. they will kill off as they find them any pest snails in your tank and might even kill off some of the larger snails if you keep them together. with mts they dig so they have a higher chance of them not all being killed though assassins do dig some as well.
