At what size is an electric blue jack dempsey mature?

Hello, im getting ready to start an electric blue jack dempsey breeding project, i just acquired a small electric blue jack a little over an inch, i have him in a 45 alone, with a fluval c4 filter and an aquaclear 30 attached to it( more filtration the better). I just wanted to know at what size can i start trying to breed him or her??

EBJD s mature at around 8 inches, they don't get quite as large as regular Jacks.
Be very cautious with your little EBJD they are very sensitive. Keep the water clean.
