I picked up 3 of these guys from Aquascape at 2" last month. So far all I can say is....wow! Why didn't I get into pikes sooner? These guys eat like pigs, they're inquisitive, and aren't skittish at all. I have them eating frozen krill and a bloodworm pellet mix, and they have a 75g to themselves. What kind of growth can I expect?

Goddamn bro very nice!!! Glad they're pigs feed those piggies! Haha. Some people have had trouble raising small Atabapo II here in the past better keep them plump than too skinny. More pics bro! U can expect around a inch every month or 2 till around 10 inches or so

I've been treating them like raising small cichla and so far so good. I just wish that I would've bought six instead of 3 :D and I wish I would've started them in a smaller tank rather than a 75 but its all good. Are you getting any?

Unfortunately not atm one of my friends got 6 and said my big vittatas would be able to eat them easily. However I'm still trying to work something out with a spare 20g or 40b I have just sitting around lol...

Steadily growing the largest is around 4". Idk if these were captive bred or wild caught but they've eaten any and everything I've tossed in the tank. They get along great but don't really tolerate tankmates. I tried adding 6 x 1in rotkeil severums which they quickly killed off. I plan on trying tankmates again but this time I'll probably get them a few inches bigger.

Jeez you're really making me regret not picking some up... Good work bro. They're def wild caught. they look awesome. My buddies aren't tolerant of much either and are pretty aggressive as well

Thanks, these guys are awesome. I'm either going to try a larger group of uaru or some chocolates. I've never caught them picking on the severums I just ended up netting out the aftermath lol.

Hey, what do you think about acutirostris? I'm thinking about grabbing a trio of 3-4 inchers.

Acutirostris are awesome if u can find them. Pretty peaceful for a pike. If they're 3-4" I assume you're talking about aquascapes which are belly crawlers LOL
