the bream were on the bite tonight, they were only little, only got one legal, so I released em, but fishing in the rain is choice!
no fishing in the rain sucks it waters down my pith

I love fishing in the rain. Not many people, fished a few spots in the river last night saw only one other boat, some crazy fools wakeboarding at fairfield on my way downstream.
Steve

went fishing again for about 8 hours, raining on and off, caught, a few moses perch, bream, a stingray, and a big bloody pufferfish, I thought I had a huge cod for a second, it got me hopes up.

Nice. Moses perch are pretty fun to catch. Got allright choppers on them too, I wouldn't mind keeping one in a tank, along with a flathead.

Hello all.

I think Steve or Masone, maybe even Cam might know the answer.

Is there any Two Spined Blackfish (Gadopsis bispinosus) or Golden Galaxias (Galaxias auratus) being kept in captivity at all? Is there any chance of breeding any of these two species? I would certainly like to have a go at keeping these two. I have a feeling they may be quite like the trout cod though, so probably quite wishful thinking.

dont know about G. auratus comes from tassie high country.
G. bispinosus occurs at altitude shares range with some of the Galaxids and the introduced spotted leaping carp (trout) so would be cold water with relevant parameters.
would be an interesting and unique set up Eric.
Steve.

Indeed. If I could find a trout cod, that would set the tank up nicely.

So do you know about G.bispinosus being circulated amoungst specialists keepers? Perhaps you have your own contacts down Canberra way.

Thanks for the Lei, looks great.

Trout cod totaly protected .
G. bispinosus maybe dont know anyone off hand.
Little Lei's are very cute.
Steve.
