I went to Smiths Aquarium on the weekend. Saw the jungle perch, and fell in love. IMO best aussie native, gotta get me one when masone has em cheaper. $85 for a 5cm fish is ridiculous

I found one of my Barras on the paves this morning and was wondering why he would of jumped or if maybe a bird got him? this has pissed me off.

Yeah the price is pretty crazy, but I spose they charge quite a bit for them seeing as Smiths is meant to be a Cichlid only aquarium

Maybe not, since they had murry cod, barcoo grunta, tandans, rendahls and salmontail cats there all for under 20, most under 15... I was dissapoitned that the price was so high, other wise i would have got one!

its because there an endangered species and have yet to be bred and because that shop aint technically supposed to sell them because they risk 100,000 dollar fine.

I disagree these fish are being bred by a bloke on plecofanatics and he had a spawn at xmas time.
