They are Chlamydogobius eremius, And im gonna keep the babies, cause desert gobies only have a short life span (1 yr)

Dingoofus,
Eels are a little bit hard to get, since they usually only come in stock round summer time, they go out to sea to spawn and the babies come in to the freshwater lakes and rivers, they even travel over land to their desired destination. depending on where you are and availability, they range from about $20 - $60.

On the Eel topic:
My old high school has two big ponds, nothing special- they are just deep holes with rocks surrounding them.
Well, they are both full of Longfinned Eels, most around 5ft and longer.
I used to own one of them ages ago but put him back when he got to large for my old tank.

Anywayyyy, when I used to go there at night to check them out, I would always notice tiny tiny tinyyyyy little ones, so small they looked like they were just born.
I thought these guys did go out to sea? it looks like these ones don't...

I have also caught short finned eels there, but only once.

Seems to me they do both, if they can't go out to sea they spawn where they are, if they can go to sea they spawn at sea, sounds good enough for me 8)
