Avocado Puffer(Auriglobus Modestus) possible option?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
schoudenti pricing varies greatly. i can routinely get them for $125 locally-which is a great price!

i kept 3 together in a 20L than a 56g collumn for a number of years without any issues. i also kept a group of red head compressiceps, leluipi and an elipsifer eel as well as syno. petricola... loved that setup.

but i more often see schoudenti for north of $200 online.

LiveAquaria® - Xenopterus naritus

Is this the same sp in question?

i didn't know they hit nearly a foot.
This appears to be an Auriglobus sp. falsely attached to the species name Chonerhinos naritus, (formerly Xenopterus naritus) which, in reality, is a very rare species known to reach about a foot. Auriglobus puffers do not reach this size.

You can see that C. naritus looks rather distinct from true avocado puffers.
