Anyone have pic of babe striper? From the bass family? my LFS has SEA BASS for 3.99 and they are bass and i asked if it was a striper and he said yes. Only 2 i can see strips and he has tons.. O.o

maybe you read wrong?? maybe it was a PEA bass?? Peacock bass have 2 stripes when young (at least cichla temensis do anyway)

no he had sea bass on the side of the glass and no Strips down the side these are white. Im going to trade in my pink cons for 2 of them

well strippers are salt water fish..not fresh water..and if they were salt water bass at a lfs..then they probly are chalk sea bass, or tobasco...strippers get to big for home aquaria..and need really cold water unless they are hybrids..

There's a few lfs that I found selling "Sea Bass." They're actually Barramudi.

If it is a barramundi (Lates calcarifer), they prefer brackish to marine conditions. They can be kept in an alkaline FW for a short time but, their salt demands increase as they mature and they're more prone to disease and more sensitive to parameter changes.
These brutes grow to a hefty 79" and weight up to 132 pounds.

They have Freshwater Strippers. I fish for them all the time in AZ i guess im going to have to get them and raise them up little to see what they looks like alittle bigger. they have the same build as the Pbass thos.. that lip and everything. Will see. ill pick them up after the new year cuz im just about to leave for a trip and cant take care of them right away,
