i bought 2 - 6-8" baby sturgeon off Ebay. The place i bought them from claimed to have "talked to experts" who said they were baby shovelnose, although they look more like sturgeon to me. I've been feeding them baby worms i've found in my garden (unfertalized) the 6" one takes a worm or 2 every couple of days but never very activly or agressively. they ignore shrimp and chopped nightcrawlers. i've seen them eat the occational frozen bloodworm but the current blows them all around before they can get many. i'm just looking for anything you all have fed them that you could get them fat off of. if not i might try sterlet pellets off Ebay or something like that.
i have them in a barebottom tank now if that matters, and will move them into a sandy bottom tank soon if that's why they're not eating too much.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

i'll through a guppy in the tank tonight to see what happens. i'll buy black worms tomorrow, and i think that'll work. if not, i'll probably get pellets from somewhere, shipping from UK to US gets pretty pricy tho...

oh dang my bad about that didnt notice the site was from the uk....but it has some good info on there nonetheless

definately good info, wish they'd make tables like that for other fish, though it's probably pretty similar. i'm pretty sure (but may have to double check) that was the company selling on ebay. if they don't hit the black worms i'll probably order from them. i dont think their are any sturgeon food retailers in th US so i'll probably have to ship it over seas anyway. so minus well buy from someone who knows what they're talking about.

Lets see some pics, wouldn't they hit koi pellets because usually you see them with koi in outdoor ponds
