subscribed!!! ive always been interested in these filters but never knew too much about them. looking forward to seeing the progress!
Slots should allow more flow with less back pressure if you have enough volume to spread the water evenly across the shower. Also going to try different holes for the spraybar... either holes or slots...any tips?
From what I've read on ponding boards, these work best w/ high flow, wide open flow. You may need to try a couple of configurations of a spray bar.zennzzo;2280908; said:Also going to try different holes for the spraybar... either holes or slots...any tips?

I might have to reinforce it a little. Looks like 30 lbs of Lava rock to start and some fairly weightless Japmat. Looks like about 4 gallons of water at any one time.
So somewhere in the neighborhood of 60-65 lbs

I was thinking the same thing like perpendicular to the pipe?
Yeah that I think is more for their Magic bacteria house Media, I have always gone for the most flow I can anyway so we'll see what plays out...RBE17;2281446; said:From what I've read on ponding boards, these work best w/ high flow, wide open flow. I read about buying them at the Do It Center on here a wile back. You can get a hundred for about $15. I prefer them over lava rock.I guess I'm going to get a case of scrubbies...
