bala shark tank mates?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The balas were second in, after the dat and the were. Cool, not skittish or shy, ate well but the dat was a little territorial. My friend had one that got massive real fast, and didn't bother anything.

No agressive cichlids like red devils and the like, I kept mine with silver dollars and rose linned sharks. All would cruise the 125 and never any promblems.

Mine are in my 150 with some American cichlids and pictus cat. They do fine in there. Previously they were with my angels and Dennison barbs.

I have a 10 year old Bala that shares a 150g tank with non- aggressive African chiclids, large frontosas, 5 large clown loaches, and a couple large silver dollars. Everyone gets along great.
Really? that sounds great !:)
was they in the tank first or was there others in the tank before them?

He was not the first. Over the ten years I had him, he has shared the tank with a number of fish. He was never picked on, nor did he chase other fish. Perfect fish mate....

Make sure you have a lid as they are jumpers. We have a couuple in a community tank with barbs, loaches, fire eel,and a few non aggressive cichlids and they are fine.
