Well i got my bass a few weeks back. They all have settled fairly well had fin rot nursed them back to good health.when i purchased them my big bass 17 inches was jus filled with bright colors and a kill contrast and so was my smaller 2 15 & 16 inchers. Well i added them in the tank colors where still bright then after about a week or 2 my big guy colors decreased tremendously now his black bars are faded and colors are just nt bright anymore they all are active eating perfectly. My smaller one is now the brightest in the tank. Guessing hes the dominate one in the tank is der anything i can do to get all of them to show the bright colors like my smaller one? Here are a few pics to show wat i mean about colors. First pic is when i was.picking them up second one is first nite in my tank third pic is earlier today.

Do you know what the previous owner was feeding them? Foods with carotenoids in them would help bring out the red colors.

Are these Cichla in your 400 gallon tank now? If so, how recently was that tank set up? What's the temperature like?

Ye the owner was feeding swai, massivore and tilapia same exact.thing i am i even bought the same lights my temps are around 85. There nt in my 400 yet i transfer them in 2 weeks.

Thanks lol on the third pic the one in the front is brightest bt the bugger one used to be way brighter then all of them. I was thinking after doin 400 switch over and they settle in he may brighten back up
