I was thinking more of in the wild. Surely there is a natural predator that eats the goldfish?

I wasn't aware that goldfish occurred in the wild, they certainly don't have any kind of defense system to protect them against any predators. If there is a fish that eats them then the condition of their scales won't make much of a difference.

Turns out I was wrong and they aren't naturally found in the wild so just ignore what I said.

I came across this cutie on Instagram a few days ago.....meant to post it here but I forgot about it until now.

Nice fish in the body but not enough finnage for my own liking. He looks disproportional.

fishhead0103666 fishhead0103666 scales swirling like this creates drag for the fish. Makes it harder for them to swim and these short bodies fish are already not the best at swimming. Scales dont just protect a fish. They are designed by evolution to reduce drag and help the animal cut thru the water

I'm sorry. I laugh so hard at this exchange. The idea of a wild fancy goldfish blew me away.

The crucian carp has been morphed perhaps way more than it should have been in the last 2000 years.

I remember reading a bit about that in one of my old books

Kitty loves tofu and solid gold ,(YouTube channels) both have batik ranchus. I think East Coast Ranchu breeds and sells them.
