Batman, Dark Knight, Heath Ledger oscar winner for the Joker?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am pretty pissed, they cut out the scene where Joker was supposed to die in respect to Heath Ledger. wtf, he died after his BEST role and they cut out probably what would of been a good finisher to his career. Lame. It better be in the dvd extras.

i cant wait to see this movie. Heath died from a combination of three different prescription meds-he didn't overdose on any of them alone -and had theraputic levels (within prescribed levels) in his bloodstream-its the COMBINATION of those three drugs that was toxic. i believe that 2 of those were sleep aids.

guess thats why its so important to let your docs know who is prescribing what to you, because some combinations are deadly, and one doc has no idea what your getting from another doc.. (i.e. seconal and chloral hydrate-seperate they are fine, but combined even in not very large doses is deadly-thats what killed marilyn monroe). i wish docs were a little more restrained in just prescribing anything and everything to a person! IMO they over prescribe meds you dont even need..

we have patients where i work that are prescribed percocet and vicoden (very addictive) for years for back pain-instead of getting an xray, or MRI, and sending them to a pain specialist..then they become addicted on the meds they are prescribed... its sad.

He will win it. Only because there is no other good supporting actor role to date in any film this year. All the good movies were last year. We've only got 'spaghetti' type movies coming. Nothing good.

Oh, other than that Leonardo DiCaprio movie. Oh, it's called Revolutionary Road.

All the supporting cast in the upcoming movies will be overshadowed by the main cast. Sean Penn, Benecio Del Torro, Brad Pitt are in the 'biggest' upcoming movies of Oscar calibur.

Long story short....He'll win.

They probably have one of two reasons for this. Either, they wanted to leave the plot open for a return of the Joker (different person of course) I would not say that it is above them to do so. Did anyone notice the terrible actor they got to replace Katie Holmes? :barf:

The other reason is tat they did not want the end of the movie bringing back any bad "memories". In five years, people won't think about it being the last movie that he did before he died. Maybe a memorial of sorts.???

I don't know what to think about Maggie Gyllenhaal, I think that she played Rachel fairly, plus I think Katie Holmes wasn't that good in the first one, my sister makes that point alot, lol. Really Rachel has just never impressed my that much and she is an original charater to the series.

just saw it, FANTASTIC movie!!! imho, ledger really made that movie. his joker is unforgetable, insane, creepy, intense...heh, he came off like a true manic! was actually going for the joker the entire movie!

Like its said... The joker made the movie and not just anyone could have done it. when I heard heath ledger i was dissappointed. I don't think the role could have been done any better. he def deserves the award

Maggie Gyllenhaal is 10x hotter than Katie Holmes.
