Bearded dragon nutritional needs

I would double check on the alfalfa... Not sure if that one is something they can eat or not as I have never heard of someone feeding it to a lizard.

iguana keepers feed alfalfa for a bit of protein, but in the the plant form, not the sprout or pellet.

i do know beardie breeders who give their dragons alfalfa pellets though, wet and mashed into their salads.
 
Yes. I'm feeding alfafa pellets with back up support from Melissa Kaplan's findings, not sprouts, rest assured. Thanks for your inputs. So last question that somehow has not yet been answered. How much to feed daily? Not ratios, I'm looking for definite amounts, literally definite, in terms of cups or any measuring units.
 
i've never really measured, but if i had to guess the amounts i give, i'd say

1/4th cup for babies, 1/2 cup for juvies, 1 1/2 cup for adults.
