Best monster fish?

The only fish that is sometimes kept by aquarists that can reach 10ft is the Wels catfish, not sure how much fun it is to feed. The other one is alligator gar. Very few people have the space to rear fish to such sizes.

A lot depends on your intention for this aquarium. Do you have scientific interests, financial desires (to breed and sell) or do you just want a hobby? . . . to impress your friends with big fish?

Any gar fish is a very very impressive fish. They grow huge, they can eat enormous things, they are very hard to kill and live a long time. Appearance is unlike any other fish so they are unmistakable.

Unfortunately they are also extremely strong and can smash the lid right off an Aquarium, or jump 3 feet out of the water, and right over the side of an open tank.

If you can keep one, people's Jaws will drop when they see it eat.

(from Wikipedia)
All of the gars are relatively large fish, but the alligator gar (Atractosteus spatula) is the largest, as specimens have been reported to be 3 m (9.8 ft) in length;[5] however, they typically grow to 2 m (6.5 ft) and weigh over 45 kg (100 lb).

So that hundred pound fish will eat a lot of food and they like things like little crabs and live fish. But I understand they are incredibly tough and will survive on a wide range of food, once you convince them that their food does not need to be alive.
