Not really just an assortment. I am stocking a huge tank in a mall and want to do it with peacocks

I'm from Maryville not too far from you even though I live in Florida now. Unfortunately I didn't get super hardcore into the hobby until after I moved here, so I can't recommend anyplace nearby.

I have had great service and quality from Jeff Rapps at tangledupincichlids.com. He is based in NJ and gets a lot of wild stuff in stock. Shipping for stuff all the way down to FL is about $75 for me, so yours should be a bit cheaper.

I also highly recommend John (aka Snookn21) at freshwatertropicalfishonline.com. He is based out of Fort Myers, FL. Shipping is cheap since he is in my backyard, but he should be able to ship to you for $40-55 I should think. He also carries a lot of wild caught stuff.

Both these guys are vendors here btw. :)

+1 for Jeff Rapps. Just got a fish from him a few days ago. It arrived on the coldest day I can recall here and it survived due to great packing. Good guy and responds quickly.

TO OP: EVERY member on here will recommend Jeff Rapps. He is great. However, since you are stocking a mall tank, if you do not care about getting the "super rare color morph or hard to find species" then do not buy from him. I have learned that the people on this site that keep bass pretty much always assume you are looking for a super expensive rare morph (which you may be) but most of the bass from rapps are 1. Small and 2. $150 or more each PLUS shipping.
If you want some common bass or ones that are not small I would recommend buying from another member on here or just check local fish stores. Oh, and No disrespect to Rapps, he IS one of the best for getting rare hard to find species and has great service and packaging but he doesn't always have common species in and usually when he DOES, the shipping price makes it not worth it. If you do want rare bass, get them from rapps.

There is a lot of truth in this. Rapps usually does only carry the rare and uncommon fish of the hobby. Plus I hadn't thought to consider the size of the fish you want to start out with. Obviously bigger will be more expensive and the more uncommon they are, the more expensive as well. Luckily though, the majority of peacock bass put on size really fast (0.75-1.5" per month in most cases). If you are just looking to stock some commonly found peacock bass, I would check with a local mom and pop style fish store and see if they can order you some in for cheap. If you want rarer stock, check with the vendors on this forum. Most of them are very good.

Also check out imperial tropicals. I have bought both azuls and kelberi from them and have been very pleased.
