Hey all! I am about to start up a community tank, most likely with a couple angelfish. I also love cardinals and rummys, but I know that those are usually a no-go due to their size. I would love to hear your opinion about the best tetras or other schooling fish for angelfish!

ill tell you what not to get. I just started a 50 gallon community tank as well I have 5 angels and I had bleeding heart tetra's and red minor tetra's also know as serpea tetra's. I had to get rid of them because they were nipping at the angels. I also have glowlight tetra's right now and they are great they stay near the bottom and dont bother the angels what so ever. Now finally I also have bloodfin tetra's and they are fine except when it come to feeding time with live bloodworms from a cone. The angels go up to the cone and pick out the worms and the bloodfins nip at there fins waiting for some worms to drop their way. hope this helps. Get glowlights there really cool and bright

I have Bleeding Heart Tetras & Congo Tetras with my Angels.

The Bleeding Hearts look particularly good with them.

cardinals or rummys..?

I vote lemon tetras. one of the most under rated tetra. they get really nice once they are out of the lfs tank, and they are always together. I have wild discus and they never bother the lemons.
