Best turtle?

What would be the best turtle to put in a aquarium with fish like arowona, peacock bass, Datnoid, and pikes?

whatever kind of turtle you like more than those fish ;) ... no turtle is 100% fish safe, not even FRT (fly river turtle).... i keep an apalone ferox (florida softshell) with my larger fish in a 1k+gallon. turtle is 16-18" fish are 18"-36" but its always a risk. There liable to eat fish, even larger ones than themselves. Also keep in mind a "fully aquatic" enviornment is not really suitable for a turtle. A proper land portion is necessary, not just a ghetto turtle dock from the lfs. Juvi turts drown quite easily in tanks set up for fish. imo and experience its best to keep them seperate.

Razorback Musk turtles don't get very big and they are tough. Smaller fish may end up getting caught but they can't hurt the turtle and the turtle wont hurt bigger.fish

So there is no such thing as a fully aquatic turtle? I was worried about that the most lol

there may be some debate on this but id still say no. they all breed on land.

There was a big thread talking about just this subject a few months back. Basically any fresh water turtle needs access to warm and dry land at some point in their existence. There are some turtles people swear they have kept without needing access to land and then there is another guy who killed a bunch of turtles trying to do the same thing. The FRT will bring much debate but is the closest thing to a fully aquatic fresh water turtle. Basically if you get a turtle you will have to add a basking area with heat and UVB lighting. Keep in mind that there are many ways to accomplish this and still have it be attractive to the eye and space conscience if need be. Your biggest battle will be matching the turtle to the fish you currently have. The food chain goes both ways.
