just wondering...i have had a betta in a glass vase for about two years now...i now have a 29 gallon planted tank with 25 neon tetras in it...would it be ok to put the betta in there with them...i feel bad at the fact that he dosent have a whole lot of room

i would think the neon tetras would nip the betta.

I had a betta with tetras and a hardcore guppy all with no problems. The betta will only bother the fish that look similar to itself.

Go for it. I've kept bettas with barbs and the such. They do fairly well as community fish, but the betta may nip anything with long flowing fins that even vaguely resembles a conspecific. In the case of tetras, I don't think you've got enough of a physical resemblance to worry.

do to the fact that i was almost bludgeoned to death when a certain something saw my response. i think im wrong. maybe i just had a really mean betta that hated everyone but when i tried this it didnt work out. But really the only thing most bettas would have prblems with our gouramis and guppies and such.

I don't think so. There is enough space in a 29g to avoid such case. There are other tetras worse than neons.
