Betta laid eggs

Regarding food -
Place a couple of lettuce leaves in a pot and boil it. Let it cool down. Add a tiny piece of raw lettuce. Place the green liquid in a glass jar on a window sill exposed to sunlight (or lamp); dosposed of boiled leaves. In a couple of days you will have a developing infusoria culture which will help during the first days. Should be administered with a dropper in very small quantities. After that, pulverized flake food should work.
The above protocol has helped me in the past with gourami, which is pretty much the same situation.
Congrats and good luck!

NEVERMIND guys. The eggs disappeared overnight last night but I forgot to mention that. No more congrats ????
I’m not sure what happened to them. The female was removed and only the male was there. Did the male eat them? Why??? I never heard of that before. Oh well.

I've been breeding bettas for years. It's common for first time dads to eat the eggs. My question is how did you end up with an accidental betta spawn?

Okay nevermind I was wrong. I was blind. There were eggs and they’ve hatched. The fry are the smallest fry I have ever Seen. I swear there are like 100 fry. Question is what do I feed them? I’ve been told to add Java moss? Is it true?

You may be too late for food. Read post #9 and post #11. Do you have any algae or live plants in the aquarium the fry is in?

You could try adding a large clump of "established" java moss. You could attempt feeding some fine powdered food designed specifically for baby fish or pulverize some flake food. It "might" work. Think of this as a learning lesson. Get what you need prior to attempting any breeding (I know this one was a surprise) so you don't find yourself behind the 8 ball. Other option is to let the male eat the fry of feed them to some other fish.

I’ve been told to feed daphnia. I’ll buy some first bites food along the way as well. Since I’ve been told by tlindsey to keep the fry with the male for 3-5 days, it would give me enough time to buy another tank and raise the fry there.

They won't eat first bites. Betta fry will not eat anything that isn't live, they will literally starve themselves to death before they take non-live food. This is why you need to PLAN for a betta spawn. Are you keeping male and female bettas together in tanks?

Separate tank. Yes that’s why I’ve been told to buy live daphnia
