I have a common that is at least 18", somehow I am a little bit afraid of touching him.

Are you sure that cooler is 3' long? looks like a 2 footer to me...

for size comparison it is on "general sherman" Giant Sequoia tree. 102.6 ft circumference The plec is at least half of that.
