Does anybody have any pictures of this? I'm kind of curious about how it looks and have been contemplating a tank change.

Thanks!

if you do it, should totally go for a male green terror, would look sweet :P

Wow those do look great! I have one of those fake 3d rock backgrounds with black sand, and it's kind of growing on me. The black on black is so deep, and my aquarium will be heavily planted soon. Any other references?

black on black with good bright lighting and lots of live green plants will make your fish look amazing! otherwise in my opinon it looks too dark and plain without live plants and good lighting.

My lighting is great and my plant collection is growing. So what do I do just paint the back glass black? Or how do I do that and what do I use?

Tape off the tank around the back. Use latex black matte paint. You can use a brush or a roller (I prefer a roller), and put on 3-4 even thin layers.

Latex paint peels off easily, which is nice if you ever want to remove it later, but be careful with HOB filters and whatnot, because they can scratch the paint off pretty easy.

definately has to be my fav look. the only pic i have right now is this one about 3 hours after i set it up so its cloudy. it took forever to clear cause i got tired of rinsing. that would be my only suggestion rinse the hell outta the sand
