Okay you poly addicts Petsmart has the FX6 on sale for $170. You can buy it online today for this sale price.

The catch? They are 'out of stock' for shipping and you will have to find a store to pick it up at. I had to pick a Petsmart that was 20 miles away but for that price worth the drive. Hopefully I get the order confirmation soon and the order went through. It shows as 'processing'....

Just a heads up for any of you guys looking for an upgrade.

Sale started this morning at 6. My order still says processing, I assume that status wont change until tommrow morning when the workers actually "fill" the order. I think at this point most locations have limited stock. Great deal . Opportunity to get 2 filters for the price of one !!

Im wondering if it is the new style with the redesigned basket in basket design.... does not matter to me but interested to see generation 2 new design.
 
For me this was an upgrade to an aging FX5. The 5 has been running for years dependably but the new 6 has a better lid vent to expel air and the upper basket filter foam helps keep the 6 cleaner also. I will sell off my 5 and pretty much pay for most of this upgrade. So after selling off one FX5, this will give me three FX6's running on the 300g with a spare FX5 for emergencies.

Damn you guys are fast. Thanks for the tips. There is a FX6 shortage in the west coast because polyaddict86 and dmd123 bought them all. LoL

It's arguable the best. Only the big Eheim could possibly be better.

Well still some showing up for pick up in Washington State.... so I didnt get them all. (:

The big Eheim 2260/2262 is the superior filter but at $500 with no media makes the FX6 with media at $170 quite the deal.
