Black Ghost Knife size

I am considering getting a Black Ghost Knifefish. Everything I read says they get to either 10"-12" or 18"-20. what is the max size typically in a fish tank?If there is a chance of them getting to 20", I am not getting one. I have a 120, 60X22X22, that has CA/SA Cichlids. Thanks

I would say max size is 16"s

Yeah its possible but it would take about 10 years +... Got for it if u have the patience to wait...

definitely won't take that long. They aren't the fastest growers, but mine went over 1' from 4" in less than a year

I think 3"-11" Is like 1 Year but then from 11"-18" there Growth Rate gets REALY slow but they useually get 15" but can Get to 18" Something bigger in the wield.

My thing is, I won't get it, if it will outgrow my tank.

There is no way it can outgrow your 120g. 18in is about the max from what i have read.

U can even keep them in a 50g... They don't move around much....
