black gravel experiment part 2

i will recap my first experiment of an endlicheri on black gravel for about 1 month. with an update current photo (3rd pic)

1st pic was day 1.
2nd was 1 month on black gravel.
3rd is about 1.5 months on light colored sand.

my second experiment is sorta the same thing with a different endlicheri specimen.

1st pic day 1.
2nd about 1 month.
3rd day1 reverse side.
4th pic 1.5 months.

I have seen similar things with delhezis also kept on dark substrate-Anne
 
Most fish look darker and muddier and generally not as nice on dark sand. To name a few would be most species of plecos, bichirs, and rays such as motoros...

i agree davo (well at least with bichirs since i've no experience with the others) i generally don't like the color of bichirs on black substrate, although it would seem that not all species are affected.

and btw great shots ray!
 
i dont like black substrate it makes fish and the tank look to dark
 
I like the way they look in all conditions but hey im not picky
