I'm from Malaysia. Over here we sell strains like these as white tigers kamfa. White pearlings with black finage and tail. Some times with more black marking underneath the pearlings. Great looking fish. Are you sure it's black kamfa? The photo is not of high quality. In my opinion, black kamfa looks like in the picture (I shot it myself in Thailand).

Perhaps many different morphs of kamfa have passed through your hands, would you like to say a few words about the way black kamfa is prepared? Are cichlasoma tetracanthus genes used in this process?I'm from Malaysia. Over here we sell strains like these as white tigers kamfa. White pearlings with black finage and tail. I'm not a breeder but I groom and resell locally in my country. In all honesty I would love to learn how to breed. I have been trying to learn from breeders in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam and most of them are very tight lip when it comes to the formula on their breeding strains. I believe that cichlasoma tetracanthus is definitely used to produce F1 generation 1 of black kamfas and most probably reused again in in F3 generation 3 to produce black king kamfas.Perhaps many different morphs of kamfa have passed through your hands, would you like to say a few words about the way black kamfa is prepared? Sorry the 1st pic was not very clear. I took another pic. Hope this is clearer.I'm not a breeder but I groom and resell locally in my country. In all honesty I would love to learn how to breed. I'll attach some pics. Pic one is F2 black kamfa that I'm currently grooming. It's at 2.5 inches. Gonna ship it out by the end of the month. 2nd pic is another F2 black kamfa coming my way next week. 3rd pic I'm still deciding if I want to get it. Sorry about the hand in the 3rd pic. Breeders do it to take clear pics to show the fish. All 3 pics shows genes of cichlasoma tetracanthus genes in my opinion. View attachment 1487331View attachment 1487332View attachment 1487335
