I do have 4 left, but only 2 black laces, the other two are “blue” clowns. I air quoted the blue part bc I paid a premium for them and they look like silver clowns with ever so slight highlights of blue....I wanted PB genes not a “blue” fish...if that makes sense?
OOOH. ok
Im confused. pb gene/s makes the fish blue but you don't want a blue fish.

In clowns even a pb/+ will make the fish some what blue.
So that isn't possible.
Do you understand the angel gene loci, Niki?

Not all blue fish have BP genes. I feel like they call all blue tinted coloured fish BP.

i just don’t think mine carry the PB gene, though I could be wrong completely haha.

I def do not 100% understand angelfish genes, but I have a basic understanding.

True. But all pb fish are blue. Before the pb gene was 'invented' there were still some blue angels the randomly displayed lue coloration. These were bred to keep the blue and so they were the 'blue' angels before the bp gene. I don't believe either had to do with the other.

I don't think so either.

Well I hate to burst your bubble but my male always looks like that.
But she could very well be just holding eggs. :)
