A large black plastic trash bag works just as well and is waterproof to boot.

You can get poster board at any office store like staples or ac moore

I got it from my local pet store. Some places might have it, some not. Looks pretty nice! And my oscars can't rip it apart >:]

VERY NICE! A very easy and cheap background. Not too much hassle for installation. What substrate did you use on the tank???
