Alright everyone, I’m hoping some one can help me out. My Oscar has what looks like black scales coming up on his back area and head area. None of them are holes but I’m curious if anyone has seen black/gray scales on this part of the body. I know that most “albinos” are actually lutinos and they have black on their fins. I’m just wondering if this is normal and will it fade/progress over time. Thanks in advance!13733148E838945-B2E0-4C1A-9631-F07795CD7652.jpeg

That looks like pigmentation, not any sort of disease. Your O might change color before it reaches maturity and may have some gray shading in places. It's nothing to worry about though.

Do you know of anyone that may have a adult picture?

You can't really tell a fishes adult looks from it's young looks. Care level, diet, stress all play a great role in the final appearance.

I started with this little guy that had all of six dots on each side.

And to think she was sold as an albino tiger, more like somewhere in the middle of a tiger and a red.
