I think I have an NTT going blind. One eye is bloody and it has trouble catching food that is floating mid water column. Also not responsive to my movements. I'm doubting that vision ever returns. Has anyone had experience with caring for blind Dats before? Anything tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

bloody eye?

im not sure if ive seen or heard of that before, do you know if it was attacked?

could be internal bleeding caused by some trauma but I'm unsure how much blood flows around the eye

if its bacterial/ cause dby outside protozoa you could probably try some broad cures like kanamycin or maracyn

You can try reptile feeding tongs. I have some slow-feeding fish that can't compete with the rest of the tank, they respond well to target feeding with tongs.

The reptile models also come with padded edges, so there is little chance of damaging the fish's mouth with metal edges.

The fish might have initially hit his eye somewhere in the tank really hard. I don't think the eye sight is coming back. Have tried medications, but eye sight didn't really return. Thanks for the ideas though.

Thanks for the suggestion, will give tongs a shot
