So this blood parrot has been living with two 2inch fish that it would attempt to beat up. The parrot was fine, pushing the others around if anything, for around a month and everything was good until two days ago. Over night, the parrots everything had been nipped up.
It looks like it has developed some fungal infection, fin rot? (Next time I get blood parrot(s), they will be in a parrot only tank)

I moved him into a different tank, sectioned by itself. Did two 20% water changes (one each day), added some salt (1 tbs per 5 gallons), temperature is at 84.
How should I treat this?

in my experience changing water and salt has worked well. During this time, i would lower the feeding to a minimum though

Alright, thanks. It has has been acting better, but still looks about the same, maybe a little better within the two days. It did have some blotches on his body that went away.

if body is discoloring or you're getting white blotches on the body, it's far worse than just fin rot. keep an eye on it for any type of infections. toss some melafix in there if you have't done so already, and don't forget to remove your carbon =P THe suggestion of water change and salt are also a must. Keep the tank clean!

Look up instructions for a melafix/pimafix combo, add salt, keep ammonia and nitrites at 0. Work fast, and good luck. It looks pretty advanced but it never hurts to try.

yeah if you can do a hospital tank, it's more efficient cause the dosage won't require as much product. remember to remove carbon filter.

meafix / pimafix combo is generally recommended ....half dose of each, that being said salt and clean water may be less stressfull on your fish
