Sure. Thanks for pointing. I use to use tiyo aquarium salt and Rock/crystal salt ( used at home but not the table salt). I will see if I still have.aquarium salt ( I think that's done since free quest use for a month or more), else will use rock / crystal salt.

Hmm.. Not sure how to feel about it.. to the existing issue.. I have a situation where; shelter to be provided to an oscar(not sure what type of it) and 2 BP's ( I was told they are small as mine)..... :-( hoing things would go in favour - No more new fish to the tank

I had no option but to accept the new fish. They are 2 days old in the tank. But the good news is that AMmonia levels are down to Zero. Except adding the rock salt for once- no Medicines( Amguard, paraguard, Microlife S2) been used as advised. Hoping to have eye issues resolved for 2 BP's. They still can not see but roaming around. One is always on top and managing to grab food when put more pellets(just that they are left over and in edges- so it has time to search and grab over a period of 15 minutes). Next one is always at bottom to middle of tank and did not eat any thing. Btw, stopped holiday food for a week now.

By holiday food do you mean treats? The eye will resolve itself if the water is good. The fish sounds healthy and eating well so i wouldn’t worry. They can still see out of the eye just not well. It looks like cloudy eye to me which is much less serious then pop eye

By saying holiday food , I meant white blocks which contain the below per the mention on the pack - " Mosqito larve, Daphnia, Hydrochloride, Chloride,Plumbum,Ferrum, Alkaline& Magnesium".

Thanks T TheLastKon for the response and I am waiting for these BPs to be normal.

I usually like variety for my fish but parrots are one of the few species i would suggest only feeding pellets. It’s pretty much a mix of all cichlids so those formulated pellets would bring out the best colors and keep the water much cleaner. And since you just picked up more parrots and an Oscar you’re gonna need all the help you can get with bioload in that tank so pellets and less feeding would help you out.

Sure. Thanks for the suggestion. I may need to finish the Blood Worms tin :). I am almost ready to put efforts to deal with bio load - more gravel vacuum :-(. Since I have Seachem AMmonia Alert Monitor - I will action if the status changes before a week, else after a week for 20% (as the ideal levels are just reached).

Just relieved about tank stability and an angel which survived during tough time - now no more.. all in front of eyes after its and our dinner .. we thought it's getting to bed early today but realised in a minute that it left us.. deeply saddened :-(
