Make sure no pesticides or fertilizer was used in that area and rinse them off before feeding.

Yep, the green worms also contain dyes.

I catch worms for my axolotl and pike cichlid a lot, whenever it rains I go out and look in leaf and grass piles on the side of our road (because nobody cleans up after raking/cutting their lawn) and I get tons of nightcrawlers, nightcrawlers are meatier so I prefer them as far as fish food goes, but earthworms are fine.

I tried raising my own worms, but it's too hot in the summer, so Felix will have to rely on ordinary bait store worms.
