One of my suppliers has been advertising these and it piqued my interest. Does anyone know if there really is a difference between these and regular greens?

It is probably just some kind of morph. Get a picture of them before "buying" into it.

My supplier calls them "El Salvador Blue Diamonds", if that makes any difference.

I think it is just a morph of the green iguana. From pictures i've seen there doesn't look to be much difference, other than they are more "aqua marine" that green. Not that noticeable, but maybe i'm wrong.

Not really a morph (when I think of morph I think selective breeding) just a different locale of iguana. Just like the el salvador reds are a different locale. They are just common iguanas that happen to have a little more blue in them.

It is selective breeding by mother nature, obviously. Iguanas that are different colour obviously survive better in those regions. You have different locales of Cornsnakes, and some of those locale are sold as morphs.

a green iguanas color depends on what region its from
That's what I was getting at. Man you sure pick peoples words apart Irish :nilly:! :hitting:

i have seen "blue diamonds" and greens and they seem the same as young from what i have seen...

Considering the amount of time we've been breeding green iguanas, I'm suprised haven't managed any proper morphs yet... the pigmentation is obviously there. We've already done a lot better with fiji's
