It has a teeny nuchal bump which I’m pretty sure that means like it’s the boss or territorial but I’m not a expert on cichlids

He does. I'm hoping he's a boy. They are more colorful.

When adults they can end for end the tank in less than a second. If they get spooked they can easily hurt themselves by ramming into something. So as a precaution, people with adult fish tend to decorate on the light side. And rocks are always placed on the bottom glass, cause cichlids are digging machines.

Well it is very colorful which says itself
Idk much about them but flowerhorns another cichlid are gendered by either u shaped vent for females or a v shaped vent for males
