Same with me, well I actually caught a 14"r but that was a one time thing. However in an aquarium setting where they're being fed regularly and not being predated on just about any fish will get bigger than it would in the wild given it has enough space to do so.
THAT IF they are a FREAK of NATURE. Many bluegills will never hits a 14-15" inches long even in either nature and aquariums. 9-10" is most likely for bluegills in both settings. Never seen any 13-15" bluegills in Minnesota even in lakes that has few or no predators. A 55-75gal is perfect for bluegills.for a big fish. 14-15 inches is possible.
